Almost Two

I took Andrew out for some pictures the other day.  He doesn't sit still for very long, and rarely looks in the direction I want, but I was still able to get pictures.  And that is what I'll hold on to.  They aren't perfect, but they are pictures.  There is only so much you can do by yourself.

I was trying to teach him how to smell.

My little boy is growing up so fast.  He can now tell anyone his name.  If you ask him how old he is he will tell you and show you with his finger, "ONE!"  Then with a little help he will say, "Almost Two."  He has really taken off with his language.   He says all kinds of things and identifies everything that he knows.  He knows all the different kinds of transportation (cars, buses, trucks, helicopter (copter), boat, police car, fire truck, monster truck, ambulance, airplane and more), all kinds of animals, all the different balls (basket ball, soccer ball, football) and he is starting to do really well at putting two-four words together.  My favorites are, "I DID IT!", "I love you, Mommy (and other people too like daddy, GG, Grandma, fill-in-the-blank)", "I miss you, Grandma!".   He haven't figured out how to say the TH sound or how to properly say square (so he calls them crackers), they are tricky to teach!

I got him measured the other day and he is still so tall (35 1/4 inches high) , and skinny (he only weighs 27.5 LBS).  Andrew wears 2T shirts (except for Old Navy he wears a 3T there), and 24 month in his pants (he can get away with 2T if they have waist band.

He is still a good eater.  His favorites are still fruits and vegetables (he prefers fresh stuff, I can't get him to eat anything like canned peaches or apples sauce).  He loves breakfast food; Pancakes, Waffles and Eggs being his favorite... and Juice.  He loves pastas like Pasta Roni, Ramon Noodles, Mac and Cheese, & Stroganoff, but his favorite is Spaghetti (Getti) by far!  He gets dessert if he eats his dinner and most of the time he chooses M&Ms, but he loves all chocolate, cookies, ice cream and cake.  He calls frosting of all kinds "Ice Cream", so adorable!  I tried giving him chocolate pudding the other day and he wouldn't even try it.... he must take after his dad.
And he is off again...

Andrew loves kicking balls....
He prefers to drop kick these days...

  And throwing them (FROW IT!)...

He is getting good.  The balls are starting to go a long distance, so we just started a new rule.... he can only throw and kick balloons in the house.  Things were getting knocked over. Ha!

He has also taken a liking to jumping off stuff.  Heaven help me.  It's crazy to think about since he wasn't even fully walking 1 year ago!

I was really surprised today at the park we went up one of those latter bar things that arch, all by himself.  I was so nervous like the first 10 times he did it and had the hovering mom syndrome.  It still makes me worry.  I will have to get a picture the next time we are there.  He also is walking up stairs at times without holding on to anything.... another time I worry.  Man, I sure worry a lot these days.... I'll be on the look out for grey hair!

I'm getting super excited for his birthday coming up.  The past years has really flown by.  I love this boy more and more everyday!  I am loving this stage of his life.  The cuteness just can't be contained. I just wanted to document as much as I could remember so I won't forget.
