6 Months... Well Actually 7 Now

Where has the time gone?  I started this post right before Callie turned 6 Months.... and well, I never got around to actually posting it.  There really isn't a good excuse I just put it off to do other things and kinda put it on the back burner.  Well, better late than never right.  This is, in the long run, really for posterity after all right?  Right.  So here is what I remember.

Stats: Height: 25.4 inches (24%ile), Weight: 16.1 lbs (45%ile), Head (73%ile)  So she hasn't grown much.  But the doctor observed as I have that she is very active and is just probably burning calories. But she said she looks perfect and wasn't worried.

Teeth: None

Sitting/Rolling/Crawling: Sitting: yes   Rolling: 6 months: sometimes  7 months: Always   Crawling: eager to & so close-- but thank goodness no.

Sleeping: She always keeps me guessing.  She usually sleeps around 10 hours at night. And takes 2-3 naps during the day.  One-two are usually small catnaps that don't last more than 45 minutes, but she'll usually give me a good nap in the afternoon, and if her brother doesn't slam his door and wake her up she'll sleep for around 2 hours.
7 Months: She is getting better at taking longer naps sometimes.  She is also getting better about putting herself to sleep and likes to sleep on her side.  She does pretty good about doing this as long as she is clean, fed, can roll on her side and get a binky in her mouth (by herself). Naps are still hard, but if I can hold her off till she is really tired she does better.  However the tricky thing is timing the holding off part for a time when we aren't going somewhere (like picking up big brother from preschool).

Clothing Size: 6-12, or 9 Months

Eating: We are still exclusively breastfeeding. I introduced some rice cereal around 5 1/2 months, but she doesn't seem to like it much. After she turned 6 months I introduced fruits and veggies and she is slowly taking to them.  She humors me and will give them a good taste but doesn't gobble them up or get excited when she sees them coming(like she does when she nurses).  She is however, giving me a a sign of a few favorites and dislikes.  She like her brother HATES peas.  She likes fruit; apples, pears, bananas, prunes (but not a fan of peaches).

Nature: She is a mama's girl through and through. But happy.  She has come a long way between 6-7 months.  She seems more content letting her grandparents hold her and playing by herself.  She is also much more busy and curious.  She now (7 months) arches her back when she is unhappy.  But, is actually very good natured most of the time and gives us plenty of smiles.  She just started saying WOW this week, and is trying hard to say Ba.  She also loves to blow on my cheek while giving kisses, click her tongue, and spit with her tongue out.  She talks to us and has conversations of sorts, which are terribly adorable!!

I apoligize at the coloring of these pictures.  She was my test subject while I was playing around with settings.

Going for the camera.

Watch out world, she is really close to crawling now and is pulling herself up on things too!  Ahh!
This was taken a couple days ago.  She can also pull herself up to
standing sometimes too!

She is such a sweet heart. We love her so much! Happy 6.... 7 Months Baby girl!

November Mobile Moments

Sorry, the blog has been on the back burner for a couple weeks.
Here's the best for November.
Grabbing everything!

Trying hard to get around... and figure out how to crawl.

I was the greatest to see this friend of mine!

This is what Andrew does during singing time.
Not much of group singer....

Daddy's mini me.

Loved the drums at a friends house.

Practicing for a shoot.  Smiles... check.

Leaning...

I turned around to see this one day.   Um, I don't think that's how
you are suppose to sit in that.

Love it when he takes his daily nap... just not in the car.

Both asleep at the same time.

Aww.  Their playing together.

Loves his blocks.

Looking at THE 2013 photo album.   Ahhh. Now it's on to 2014.

Totally bombed on dinner one night... but absolutely redeemed my self the next.

Isn't this cool?  Maybe someday we'll make this.

"Hootchi says the farmer."

I love my little screech owl.

He wanted to sit in the truck in the show room
while we got our oil changed.

Burger King!

Our playdoh faces.

Started solids this past month.

Andrew eating the left over green peppers and celery.

Good place to play together.

6 MONTHS!

Fun times at Chocolate World.

Yearly Chocolate house.

She's trying to pull herself up on me already!

All smiles, all the time!

Now way! Not yet!

Jingle Bells.

Homemade Christmas tags.

Family time in Washington DC.

Natural History Museum.

Chilling outside on a warm-er day.  Does she look like
a cute little pink marshmallow?

Andrew's Thanksgiving Feast

I turned around to see this one day while making dinner.
How on earth?

First snow!

Playing outside with friends.

Sam the snowman.

Bonding with PopPop on Thanksgiving.
