First, can I just tell you how beautiful that place is? There are trees everywhere-- big tall mature trees! Where we live in Idaho it's a desert, so we don't have too many of those. It is just one thing that I know I will love about Indiana.
On Friday, after checking out our place we went exploring.
I wanted to see if I could find a few places... this being one of them.
This is the beginning of the Rail Trail.
I can't wait to bike on it & all the other trails!
Then we headed to downtown Bloomington
& then to the campus.
This is where Briant will be spending the next 2 years of his life.
MBA Business Building
IU's Student Union building is the biggest in the country.
To me it kinda looked like a castle! So neat!
IU's Sample Gates
We visited the Library. AnD and I are going
to love this place!
I am so grateful for the opportunity to go to Indiana with Briant for the next 2 years. I've never lived outside little Idaho so this is going to be a big step... for me at least. But after being in the city, learning about Briant's MBA program & and meeting some of the people I will associate with... I can really see myself loving it there. The city really isn't that big. Yes more populous (because of the school) but geographically I don't think it is bigger than Idaho Falls. Which is awesome for me. It still only takes 10 minutes to get clear across town and we still won't have major traffic. Yay!
Briant's program is amazing. They really do go out of their way to help him reach his goals for his career. They are very kind and genuinely want to help in whatever way they can. Plus the school is awesome, in the top 20, and has an incredible job placement rate... need I go on! On top of that, they have a Kelley Partner's Club and a Kelley Kid's Club that will be wonderful for AnD and I... so we won't feel alone while Briant is studying his brains out. I hear the (Latter-Day Saint) ward that we are moving to is awesome and so I know I will have an instant family!
We really did have an incredible weekend. After going and knowing a little bit more about what to expect, it was much more clear to us that this really is the right thing for us to do.
But, of coarse. I still love me some Rocky Mountains.
There in the soft gushy part of
my heart, they will always be home to me.
We left AnD with his Aunt and Uncle and cousins.
Believe it or not I didn't even cry when we left.
They sent lots of pictures for me to devour while we were gone.
Drinking buddies.
I'm so glad he ate for them, sometimes it can be a challenge!
I knew that if he would take good naps and eat,
all would be well and he would be happy all weekend.
They even got him to fall asleep at church,
please tell me your secret!
Overall, they said he was a very happy boy all weekend.
He loves the piano!
He doesn't get to play on stairs too much at our place,
they said this was his favorite place.
This is how they all roll...
Boys's club
Sleeping on the way home.
We are so glad to be reunited. Life isn't the same without our boy.
Now it's time to start preparing for the next couple years!

You didn't post any pics of your new place!!
I love all the greenery, I am jealous!
Exciting!!! When are you guys moving? I hope all goes well for you on your move. Andrew is adorable. :)
What a fun adventure. I loved it when I lived up in Moscow, Idaho. So green and beautiful. Still, I was somehow surprised how homesick I got on a windy day (their windy days were like normal IF days!) and how I felt at home driving past a field of sage brush. Can't get Idaho out of the system!
