So last weekend we took a little trip to Utah. I felt kinda bad, because there isn't a whole lot I can do spontaneously and that has to do with exerting myself like I used to. This includes sports and other fun activities I love to do (like Ice Skating, walking long distances, etc.). I'm sure most of you would understand why.... this being what I look like right now:
So what can you really do on a weekend getaway with a 7 month pregnant lady?
You can...
#1 - Go to the Temple
We went to the Logan, Temple on our way down. It was very pretty. I'm glad we went because this is the temple my parents were married in, and I've always wanted to see it. We drove from Logan through the canyon to Salt Lake City. We were hoping to see the pretty view we've heard so much about, but as you can see from the pictures, it was snowing and gross the whole time.
#2 - Stay at The Little America Hotel
We didn't get many pictures, but really we both had a great time.
We did a little swimming in their pool... which was really nice for me, because I got to stretch and I didn't have all the belly weight in the pool. I really wish I could do that more often! Jr. seemed to like it too!
While there we also had yummy dinner and breakfast. Food is always good, when shared with someone you love, and pleasant conversation comes along with it.
#3 - Go see a movie
We really enjoy going to the movies together. We saw Source Code, and we thought it was really good!
#4 - Go to Park City and SHOP!
For a couple hours at least. I got worn out from all the walking after a while. But we did get some stuff for Jr. and Briant got a few shirts. I wish we had outlet stores with clearance racks that big in Idaho. The weather up there was pretty crappy too, but oh well, we still had fun together.
Oh and P.S. I've decided that all store need to have chairs to sit on in them, not just The Motherhood!
#5 - Visit friends and family!
While we were in the area we stopped by and saw our good friends Andy & Katie. I so wish we lived closer because we really hit it off with these two whenever we hang out!
We also went and stayed with Devin and Julie (my brother and his wife) for a couple days. We had a great time visiting, and playing Monopoly Deal (they had never learned how to play, so we taught them). They have some super cute kids that we really enjoyed playing with too. I shall never forget when Anna jumped on Briant's stomach one night and said to him face to face, "I like you."
Me and Anna before Church
Gene & Taylor (my brother and his fiancée) & Grandma Peggy, came over for dinner Sunday night and we had a great time visiting with them too. We talked about all the details for the wedding in July & played Monopoly Deal again (really... such a fun game!).
On Monday, Julie and I also went shopping together to a couple different stores and got some much needed girls time together.
While we were out Briant went down to BYU for a MBA visit, and learned alot about their program.
It really doesn't matter where we are, I love spending time with my husband. He is kind, funny and he just gets me. I love that we are close and we can be open with each other. I feel like time spent together only makes this get better and better, whether it is at home eating dinner together, on a home town date, or during our weekend get aways. Even though we will have a little one added to the mix soon, I hope we can always have these kind of moments where we can grow closer together. I love you, Briant!

I've never even heard of Source Code...
So glad you had a nice get-away! Love you!
Oh Logan, how I LOVE Logan, sorry you missed the canyon view. Also while in Park City, American Eagle also has couches and Downeast. (at least they use to, just a maybe next time reminder) Oh and you look so cute, and it is getting closer!!
