We had a great time setting up our tent and the blow up mattress with TONS of blankets because I knew we would be cold. We tried to make this night as close to camping as possible (in Idaho Falls) so we went to my parents house and grilled stakes on the grill and built a fire in their little pit. It was kinda late and we ate pretty much by fire light... if that isn't close to the real deal I don't know what is. We brought our portable DVD player out to the tent with us and watched a movie before tucking ourselves in for the night.
What a great camping experience.... except we both woke up at 4:30 in the morning, cold. Despite my careful planning with all the blankets, it wasn't enough. I tried to convince him to hold it out with me but Briant ended up going inside. I just put my hoody on and went back to sleep. I guess I'm not such a wanny after all.
Next time we are going in August and I think we are going to have to invest in some mummy bags.
OH... I forgot to tell everybody about Briant's new calling. He is the Young Men Teachers Advisor and Varsity Coach. So this little camp out was good practice.

I think Santa Claus is going to bring Devin a better sleeping bag. His summer bag just doesn't cut it when he goes camping with the scouts in the snow.
what an impressive woman! you got briant camping...well in a tent nonetheless! way to go!
What fun! I remember you told me you were gonna "go camping" this past weekend. Glad to hear you had fun, and I always knew you weren't a wanny! (Looks like that title goes to Briant! JK...I might've gone inside too, if I was camping in my back yard.)
