Good Reasons

There is a good reason why I've been really lazy lately.  There is a good reason why Andrew has been watching way too much TV and I know everything about everyone's lives on Facebook.  There is a good reason why I've been really missing my green smoothies, and only recently started them back up again (and can I just say, my body is thanking me). There is a really good reason why I haven't been accomplishing as much as I would like & beating myself up about it. There is a good reason why my style has been lacking, I never wear makeup, and stretchy pants are my best friend.  There is a good reason why my husband has been making dinner for us most nights.  There is a good reason why I haven't been blogging much, or calling much, or texting much...

Even though it was planned... I was still surprised.  I took Clomid with Andrew. Getting pregnant was sort of the last thing on my mind at the moment. I went on vacation and then the very next week went on another weekend trip and then moved again.  I was content with my situation (nothing like my attitude with Andrew) and I had peace trusting God's timing.  I wasn't counting or even thinking about it.

We found out right after we moved back from our summer internship. I was so happy that my body knew what to do and "I got pregnant for free" (as a good friend and I were discussing earlier this Spring would be nice to have happen).


I heard a heartbeat this morning.

They said this kid was really moving around like crazy.

Yes, there is just one in there. I'm due May 2014. Briant graduates the week before on the 9th.  It's actually really good timing. Briant will be able to hang out with us for a while before we move.

Nausea and fatigue have really made me second guess being ready for another kid.  But I'm starting to feel better most of the time and we are really excited.  Andrew is going to be almost 3 (which I think is excellent spacing for my sanity), and I know he will be a great big brother.

I'm going to a great doctor's office recommended to me.  I'm really happy with them so far (still missing my old doc though). I have one more appointment in a month, then the next one will be my ultrasound :)  It will probably be around the middle of December or close to Christmas when we find out what we have.

We are super excited!!!

September Mobile Moments

Well look at that!  September ended three days ago!  Crazy!  I didn't even write any post last month. The month really got away from me!  Don't worry you didn't miss out on much in our lives.  Just school for Briant and playgroups and play dates for Andrew and I mostly.  We did a few things on the side here and there, but not much really.  Here are the pictures I took on my phone:

The stool he is on belonged to my grandma.  I loved
it as a kid, and it so cute that Andrew loves it so much too!

We took a big step this month!  He has done great!  He is totally
fine with them being broken.  Never cried once that he couldn't
put them in his mouth anymore.  Way to go bud!

Did I mention that he can get on the counter by himself
now?  He thinks it's funny.  Has done it a couple times.

We drove up to Indy for the day and had a great time in town walking around.

 As you can see our September was pretty uneventful.  I didn't even take that many pictures. Oh well, we got more fun planned this month!

A few things I want to remember about Andrew and share with my family:

Andrew can sing! He can sing the ABC's in English all by himself! He also sings John Jacob Jingle Hiber Smight, and Slippery Fish.  

He is asking to go potty on the potty more often and gets excited when he does.

He is saying all kinds of cute things straight from his own thoughts these days.

He loves to help with dishes.  Mostly just loves pouring water to and from different containers.

He loves to get his back scratched.  He'll lift up his shirt and ask us almost everyday!

Asks what everything is.  

Is starting to do some imaginative play when I'm not looking.... he sends his bear to time out and asks Mickey Mouse if he is okay. So cute!

He tells me all the time that he is a cute boy... I guess he hears it from me a lot!

He is starting to negotiate.

August Mobile Moments

What a crazy month, August was!  We did so much!!  It's crazy to look back at what we were doing almost exactly a month ago because it seems like it was much longer ago than it really was.  I've shared alot of the pictures I took already with the previous posts, so I tried to find those I skipped over and spare you too much deja vu.  Enjoy!

fun.  Thanks Ash for being my partner and showing

This was inside my rental car.  How cool was it that it told me how
many miles I had left in my tank.  Can you believe it?  418 miles on a full tank!

Andrew loved the noodles from Mom's house, and the broccoli
straight from Aunt Pam's garden.  I loved that bowl!  So easy for him
to eat in.

 I finally just gave him the kindle.  I was surprised
at how well he could navigate through it himself.

On the plane.  I reserved the middle and aisle seats not
knowing whether or not he would like the window and
in case we had to be up alot.  Well, we found out on the
way there that he LOVES the window.  I was worried he
would be sad he couldn't have it on the way back.
The person who was suppose to sit there never showed up.

As soon as Andrew saw his dad, he was so excited,
reaching his armstowards him while still 30 feet away.
It almost made me cry to how much he
loves his daddy!  He really missed him.
He didn't leave his side for about a week.

We went to a dear friend of Briant's family.  He let us feed his
Coy fish and Cat fish.  Andrew loved it! You can only see
the little speck of orange.

We took a quick trip to Lititz, PA to see Wilbur Chocolate.  We
walked up and down the Main St, and had a tasty pretzel
from this fun shop.

Briant loves any kind of pretzel... and Andrew is following close behind.

Andrew loved sharing his fishies with them.

Lititz also had a fun little park.  Andrew loved this big train he
could play on.  He and GG are so cute together!

When we left Litiiz, we drove out to Weaver Nut Co and stock up on all our favorite treats.  They have just about everything to snack on you could possible imagine!

Stopped for lunch at a gas station.  I guess this is as good a
place as any to sit and eat your blueberries.

On our way home.  The "mountains" are getting bigger.

This is the Susquehanna River.  You can just barely see the white
speck by the base of the mountain on the right.  That was a lady liberty
statue in the middle of the river.

I looked into the details.  She was built 26 years ago
 to commemorate the Statue of Liberty's 100th birthday,
and put into the Susquehanna on an old RR bridge pier.
She's 4 Ton, and she's 25 feet tall, but you can't see that from
our little pictures. I saw her once before in 2009
when we hiked on the Appalachian Trail. 

We met up with Briant's buddy from high school.  He is now
married to a wonderful lady and we all get along so well!

We had such a great time with them!

Finally started trying out his bike by himself.
It doesn't last long.  He's not taking after his
cousins at all on this one.

Met us with some more friends.  Andrew
was learning a few things from their son.

I saw this on the tire of our moving truck as soon as Briant
brought it home.  Great way to start another move!

Empty in 4 hours.... not bad!

And off Briant goes.  He got going a little before us because he
has to drive a little slower.  We never did catch up to him.

The traffic slowed down in a couple places.  The rain caused a
couple mudslides. I saw plenty of these mini waterfalls from all

child visit at the doctors with just a poke for
some blood.  He screamed bloody murder the
whole time we were there, but we made it out
alive!

had and DUCT TAPE.  So many varieties to choose from.

I think I like the way these ones turned out the best.

He just likes to play in them.  Oh well,
they are super sturdy!

We had to go back to the Splash Pad with Dad to show him
how cool it was.  Wish we would have known about it last year.
