2012 Family Portraits

I am so happy to have this done with, and I'm very pleased with how they turned out!
I have been looking around for good locations since we moved to this beautiful city!
I think they turned out great!
I was so excited that I've already finished my Christmas Card (which I am loving BTW).  I've been learning how to use Photoshop and have had some great success.  Let me know if I can make your Christmas Card this year!  All I need is the photo(s) you want to use and a general idea of what you want.
Now I just have to get it up on the wall.

15 Months

Wow!  The past three months have flown by for Andrew!  He is just a cute little boy... definitely not a baby anymore!

I can not get him to hold still anymore.  He wants to be on the go, lounging  bouncing, squirming, running, & playing all the time!  So pictures are a bit hard to take, as are videos (plus he likes to come over and look at them now).

He is saying all kinds of stuff, most when prompted by me.  By himself he is saying; G.G. Pop Pop, Grandma (gah-ma), (we asked him to say Uncle the other day and it came out gun-ka-- ha ha)  out, apple, banana, hot dog, happy, baby, ball, car, stop, no, what... I'm sure there's more I'm just not thinking about right now. He is jabbering all the time & I'm convinced he is speaking a different language some days.  But he mostly communicates by going over to what he wants and pointing or whining.  We are really encouraging him to say what he wants & it is coming, slowly buy surly.

This boy loves food!  He eats all kinds of stuff and the only time he is picky is when he is teething (which hopefully we don't have to worry about for a while--since he has molars and cuspids already). Veggies he loves peas, corn, carrots, celery, green beans & broccoli!  Fruits he'll eat strawberries, blueberries, grapes, apples, peaces, & bananas. He also loves Mac & Cheese, Pasta-roni (anything pasta really), anything rice, hot dogs, chicken, beans, yogurt & of coarse ice cream.  As I said in my last post, he drinks everything from his sippy cup, no more bottle!  I haven't given him tons of juices but he is starting to like those too.... and he especially loves drinking from a straw!

His likes:

  • He loves Hoopla Kids nursery songs on You Tube. They are pretty cheesy & the animation is bad, but he loves them.  It was kind of a fluke we even discovered them but I'm glad we did.
  • He loves throwing balls.  He's got a great arm too--- I'm thinking basketball player or quarter back perhaps? He also loves throwing rocks and poking stuff with sticks.
  • He points at everything.
  • He loves reading books and pointing at what he is recognizes.  He is even starting to say some animal sounds... sheep (baba), monkey (Oo-oo), and dog (woof woof).  He can recognize birds, cars, babies, and the bus in one of the books he has.
  • He loves bike rides.  He is quiet throughout the whole ride... it almost feels as though I'm alone. Which can be nice to have some quiet time where I can be alone with my thoughts.
  • He loves the playground.  That's the only part of our bike ride that he let me know he wants out is when he sees one.  He loves teeter-totters, swings, ramps, stairs, slides and throwing wood chips!
  • He is starting to run, he likes going down hills and he has started to jump a little (he can get about 1 inch off the ground by himself).

I took him in for his 15 month check up and he is doing great physically and development wise.  33 inches tall which is in the 90-95%ile (he grew almost 2 inches in 3 months), & 23 lbs 4 oz (25-50%ile).  So you can see all his growth is going to his height.  Tall skinny boy!  She said his development is great, somewhere around the 20 months range.
This was taken in February
This was taken today.
Not so hard to get stuff on the same dresser is it buddy?
These overalls are the same ones I took his 10 month pictures in too,
they are totally high waters now!

Video collage of the past couple months...

In an attempt to learn more about the manual mode and aperture mode on my camera, I took tons of pictures of Andrew this past month.

"...Canon?  I love Canon"

He has learned how to propel himself on this thing.
Next step Stridder Bike.... I'm thinking for his 2nd b-day.

He throws a ball with his left hand...

Happy boy!  He gets bonks and bruises all the time
these days!

If you look close you can see his tan line
and the strips where his sandles let in the sunshine.

He loves the slide & he can go down very well all by himself!

He is loving the swing too!

I can get a few smiles out of him but this is what
he typically looks like on the swing.  Cool and collected.
"This is the life, Mom"

Love this!

Throwing a tantrum.

And another one on the street!

We got a chair for him at Once upon a Child (for $3.50),
he totally loves it.  He is now learning to stand on it and he
wants to jump off of it!

I love his smile!  He will smile for us when we ask him
to now!  He was coming at me pretty fast when I took this
so that's why it isn't centered... but i totally love it!

Big boy needs a drink... he loves drinking from my water bottle!

I love that he holds my hand.  It melts my heart.

He's got that "I'm cool" look, and he does look cool in this sweater vest
(once again thank you Once Upon a Child!)

I love his little cheeks.... they get kissed alot!

And that look when he is exploring... so cute!!

September Mobile Moments

This one is back from August but I don't think I put it on.
This was taken at our fair... I really missed the Utah and Eastern Idaho
State Fairs this year after going to the County State Fair here!

Smile

Playing with rocks.... typical boy!

Drinking from a grown up cup.
I've been practicing... in the bath tub!

It's cool to stay hydrated!

Saving our pennys.... stealing them from Dad's tray.

Andrew and K.

Our thermometer stopped reading accurately after this.
Somehow it ended up on the couch and I found it after I sat on it.

I'm cool in my rear facing car seat.  I could turn around any day,
but I'm cool.

Cool pattern on the glass

Reading Books

Helping Mommy... it's the only way to get things done now.

Liking the beaters

Tubs are fun to sit in.

Love riding my bike through the trees

Foggy morning walk.  Stopped to play in the rocks.

I love this picture, hand full of rocks, seconds away from throwing.

A kind person took our picture.

Andrew insists on "helping".

After nap hair

He loves riding our neighbors bike.

Guess what he is going to be for Halloween...
I got his costume at Once Upon a Child... $6.50!

K asked me if she could have Andrew one day... "I just love him so much!"

Smile!

Thinking of Ashley!

Totally love these bags... $100 bucks is too much to spend.
Maybe I'll think about it when we have another.... a long time from now.

I love the gulosh you made.  Even if you did wing the sauce!

At the Apple Orchard.  1 peck of Apples, Mums, and Apple Cider.
It was a good Saturday!
