Fall-isms

Everybody knows that with Fall comes football (college football in our house).
Briant loves it, and he is teaching his son to love it to.

But, Mom is doing her fair share of persuading him to
take interest in the piano as well.

We've been trying to go out and walk as much as
we can before the really cold weather hits...
Where will I walk when it is really cold???

...This is what that usually results in.
We know that he will wake up if we take him out,
so instead we just bring him in and leave him there
(with the wheel lock on of coarse)

Mom needs to get things done.
Sometimes Andy isn't content to just be by himself,
so I take him along and let him help.
This is how we get him and the laundry up the stairs in one trip.

He loves his warm cuddle
bug blanket the Grandma B gave him.
So nice and warm!

We've started solids.  We are just doing Rice Cereal with a little
applesauce right now but he is really starting to take to it.
He really likes to watch us eat too,
and sit on my lap at the dinner table.
If he isn't with us at the table, he just sits and begs (like and dog)...

Boppys are awesome!!!

Melaween with Daddy!  Who's with me, how
bout something else besides the Pope next year?
In all actuality, the theme was medieval
times and they had a cathedral so he fit right in.
Andrew was Mr. Halloween!

For actual Halloween, Andy and I went to the Library for story time and a parade!
The crowd was huge!

Briant gave me the great idea the other night when Andy wore this sleeper.
He said that he looked like a jailbird right out of prison (his crib).
So that's what he is!

My new Halloween tradition... Orange Fudge.... to share of coarse!
It's yummy!

Our latest fun thing!  Andy has teeth!!!

Video Collage

I've done so many videos of Andrew lately...
I made a collage of them all. Enjoy

Yeah!  It finally uploaded!  Seriously, it took 24 hours.  Not sure why you tube was being weird.  It only took 15 minutes to upload the day before.  I just wanted to fix something on the video and then reload it back up.  Frustrating!!!

Annual Family Pictures

YEAH!!!  We finally got our family pictures taken.  We waited for a while until Andrew bigger & could hold his head up really well (I wanted to be able to see his face in the pictures) & I'm so glad we did.  He did really well, and even gave us a few smiles.  These are my favorites...

Which is your favorite & why?
Which one should we put on our wall?

Domestic Me

I'm starting to really love being a stay at home Mommy!  I'm doing things I've always dreamed of doing and starting new traditions.

These past couple weeks I've made:
Apple Pie... mostly from scratch.

Pumpkin Pie from scratch.

My very first batch of Sugar Cookies...
of coarse I frosted them too!

All while burning this lovely smelling candle!
Seriously, awesome!

Oh and, I knitted another wash cloth.
This was taken after I used it... and sanitized my house
with bleach water with it (so the pretty color is off now... sad)
The idea now is to make many more knitted wash clothes
(because they are so much better, and last so much longer),
and also to Knit Andrew a Christmas Sock for his very first Christmas!

Speaking of Andrew, what post would be
complete without pictures of that cute little guy?!?

Someone has discovered his feet!

Special Time with Daddy, singing Popcorn Popping
(he loves it when his dad sings to him).

He accidentally dropped this on
his nose and could get it off, Ha ha!

Cold weather...
...means getting bundled up.
He didn't like it at first but warmed up to it later.
Pun intended.

His dad says he looks like a jail bird in jail
when he wears this sleeper and he is in his crib.

So, the new traditions I was talking about are:
Orange Swirled Fudge for Halloween!
Pies for Thanksgiving.
Sugar Cookies, Fudge, Caramels, and
Gingerbread Men for Christmas (not all for me, I intend to share).
Pictures of Yummy's to come...

Anyway, I'm pretty excited for the upcoming holidays,
especially now that I'm at home and have a more
flexible schedule and time to enjoy them!
I cant wait to see what is in store for all of Andrew's First Holidays!!
Any, ideas for what we should dress Andrew as for Halloween?
We are going with simple.

Fall is in the air...

Life is good around here.  Baby is sleeping threw the night (although he doesn't always sleep very good during the day), and is very smiley and talkative!

I know that all I've been blogging about lately is Andrew... but he is pretty stinking cute, and grows every day!!!
Any who, there are other things going on around here!
The Mums are blooming!  I planted them in the GH bed 2 years ago, they came up again last year (because they are a Perennial) but didn't bloom.  So, last year my boss asked me to dig them out and throw them away.  I asked her if I could have them and plant them in my garden.  And this year they bloomed!!! Aren't they beautiful?

I've also picked alot of Tomatoes... and one really big Bell Pepper (thanks for the plant Pam!).  I'm going to take them up to my SIL's and we are going to make Salsa in the next week or so.

I discovered the secret to fast blogging... uploading pictures from my phone!  They upload in 1/3 of the time!!!  But, that said... it is pathetic that a photographer like me isn't taking more pictures with her nice camera.  And I have to take like 10 with my phone before I get one I'm satisfied with.  But, there are still some cute ones... and some pictures are better than no pictures at all.  Right?

Here are some things we've been up to:

Smiling

Bumbo!  Won't sit in it for long yet, but loves it for a few minutes!!  He really likes to stand up too!

Tummy time on the bobby pillow is much more affective!

Trying on 3-6 months clothes... and they are fitting great!!!
Little man is getting bigger...
...everytime I pick him up I feel him getting bigger!

I got a haircut!
It was time for the locks to go... Andrew couldn't figure out
how to let go of the hair after he got hold of it!
BEFORE...
 ...AFTER!!!
My dad said I look heavier after the cut.  I think he though I was talking about my weight when I showed him the pictures... and he didn't know these pictures were taken one day apart.  Oh well, I think I look more my age... :/

While Briant was doing his MBA visits (He went to North Carolina and Michigan), I did the
chalkboards for Great Harvest.
I'm so glad my boss let me come do them again, I really enjoy doing the boards and seeing the finished product after I'm all done!
Here are the 17th boards... I did the ones Downtown too!

Another day while Briant was gone, Andrew and I
went to see a good friend of mine.
Her little boy is about a month older than Andrew.
They both love to watch the TV!  Ha ha.
It was really good to see her and visit like old times at work!
Love her, can't wait to do it again!

Andrew found another friend that he loves to play with.
He really likes to suck on his ears, and his friend doesn't mind at all!

Lately, Andrew has been lifting up his head while in his bouncy seat.  Now he has started doing it while he is laying down.  Wow! Awesome ab muscles little dude!  Can I have some back please?

I blanched and froze 49 cobs of corn!  Thanks Pam!

Like I said earlier, he hasn't been sleeping very well during the day the past few weeks.  He also has been getting fussy for food earlier than normal.  So, we started feeding him more. We also don't swaddle him anymore (except he would sleep better if we did).  We want him to learn to fall asleep with out it for when he starts mastering the roll.
We really like it when he sleeps.  He is just so cute!

Really cute picture... except for the spit up.

This is how he rolls...
