December Mobile Moments

Happy 2014 everybody!  We are so excited and look forward to many upcoming events in our lives this year!  Baby, graduation, a move and a job!!  Hopefully we will have some family come visit this summer too and maybe get a house!
But we have also had a great 2013!  This posts shows the fun that brought this great year to a close. Here is some fun from December:

Fun ideas that get us through a few days.

Got all my pictures on the wall updated.

"Once upon a time there was a flower and a Jesus."

My little helper.  Andrew has taken a real liking to "helping"
in the kitchen.  He asks almost every day if he can help me
make things.  This recipe was a perfect one for him to help with
because it only had 4 ingredients (cake box cookies) and he
loved putting the extra chips on top.

We got an AWESOME snow storm early in the month.
This was Andrew's real experience with actually playing
in the snow and really enjoying it!  But, mom dropped the
ball, I didn't have any snow clothes that fit him since we
didn't do too much last year and I just hadn't gotten to it this year.

He didn't seem to mind his snow pants were way too small!

His first steps in the snow were curious ones and he acted
like he had never seen all the white before.

That same night I had our final Kelley Kids Party for 2013.  Our
numbers were smaller because of the storm but we had a great time
with those that attended!

My hubby is so good to me to help me so much!  This was one of the best
parties we had all year!

Andrew and his buddy always have a great time!

Kelley Kids Holiday Party 2013

Mommies

He LOVES the snow plow.

Here is our little Christmas tree again.  I am so excited for next year
when I know we will get a  real and normal sized tree!

Andrew loves doing this puzzle lately.  It's way to much for him to
do by himself so I have to help and encourage him, but his smiles are
well worth it!

He is making progress with coloring too!  He hasn't always really been
a fan of this unless I have him on my lap and even then it only lasted for
5 minutes.  I know this is pretty normal, but lately I have loved seeing him
enjoy it more and he will do it himself now.  Now we are working on
holding the crayons the right way.

We fixed the snow clothes problem pretty quick (and got a great deal,
I might add) so we had to go outside to try out his new clothes.
Goal accomplished, warms fingers and toys after an hour of good
times in the snow!  He loves being outside and I am glad he does.

On the first day of Christmas, we got a little tree!!!

He's singing a song to me from "the Friend".

Briant finished his semester with ease, it seemed, and
we were excited to spend some time as a family.
Andrew got to go to his very first movie in the theater!
He loved it and did very well.

We got some rain and it made the snow sticky enough
to finally make a snowman!

We named him Oloff and he lasted for a good week
before all of our snow melted!

It was naughty of me to take this picture in church, but I just
think it is so cute that he loves to sing the songs with us and points to
the words. He has started wanting to "read all by himself". This means
he turns all the pages himself and he either repeats the words after
I say them, or just tells me what he sees going on in the book.
I love it, but it can be VERY time consuming!

Yummy treats for the day!  Caramels, Fudge and Andrew watching
the kindle WAY too long.  A necessary small price to pay to let me stir
without interruption.

He loved liking the spoon!

Another picture of some more treats I made for some friends.
MMM, pumpkin chocolate chip bread!

Bath time with his duckies!

Looking for the correct color of buttons for the big baby reveal!

Which color will the baby need?

You already know the news!  WE are THRILLED
to be having a little girl!

Andrew telling Grandma!

Here she is!

I think this was the 8th day of Christmas. This is
always one of our favorites.  Andrew loved that
duck book!

Almond Poppy Seed Bread with an orange glaze.
It was delicious!!

Andrew was very upset one day when Briant left.  He started crying
and ran upstairs and hid under our bed.  So dramatic.

Andrew is a really great helper when it comes to taking out all the clothes
that I've packed into the box for our trip!  All just to play in the box. Stinker.

Sleeping in the car.  I tried to position his stuffed animals so he would
be more comfortable.

He has this little fascination with getting the toe jam out of his toes.
He won't leave his socks on anymore and whenever he we do get them
on, it's not long before he's got them off again checking his toes.

Good times at Chocolate World with the rest of the Giles Clan.

Loves this house.... and his Pop pop.

He sort of loves me too.

I likes to play the piano with me.  He even
turns pages.

We took a trip down to the Washington DC LDS temple.  They have
the surrounding trees decorated with lights and had a little concert
at the visitor center we went to.

It was very pretty.

Andrew loved it too!  "Pretty lights," he would say.

There is a little baby bump.  I'll get a better picture later.

He loves GG and Poppops horsey.

And now he has started picking out the lint from
other people's feet.

These are the "Sweet Lights" of Hershey.  Andrew got to sit on my
lap and he loved it!!!  Basically you drive through the lights set up
and listen to a radio station they have cued up.  It was pretty cool.

Hanger Pirates.  Loves sword play and wrestling with daddy.
Good-bye 2013, it's been great!  Thanks for the memories!

Love the bump!!!
I had a teacher tell me that if you break the crayons in little pieces they learn to hold them correctly, it works. I only break mine in half or thirds.
