Let the Preparing Begin

Wow!!  I know it has been a few weeks.  I just haven't had too much to update on, but I do now!  Now is the time to prepare, and my body has been telling me that for sure.  There is no time to waste!

I've/We've been doing lots of preparing, searching, & review reading for two different things:
#1 Baby Stuff

I now have my car seat & diaper bag:

I was practicing on Theodore the teddy bear.

Crib (which we set up last week).

No worries, it's not going next to the window...

It's going to go here, we just have to wait a while longer

 till we move the computer downstairs.

A few baby clothes, diapers, and blankets.

I think I found some pretty good deals, so I just got them.

I've ordered the crib mattress, and some other stuff too.  Just waiting for it to get here in the next week or so.

#2 A New Car!!
 I wrote a post a couple months ago about car trouble we were having.  I ended up deleting it, but just to sum it all up, we had car trouble and decided we needed to buy a new car.  We knew we would get a new one in the next couple years anyway... so we would definitely have a reliable one for when we go to school.  We put Briant's 2001 Dodge Stratus up for sale, but we didn't get any bites (not really the season).  For a month or so we looked up reviews & consumer reports, researched several different cars, and test drove a couple different kinds.
We decided on a Toyota Camry in the end, and last Saturday we found our car!!  Say good bye to the Dodge and hello to our new 2009 Camry!!

We named her CHIP, short for Blue Chip... 

you know like in the stock market?

According to NYSE, a blue-chip stock is stock in a company with a national reputation for

 quality, reliability and the ability to operate profitably in good times and bad.

I think the name suits this car very well.  

Thanks to Briant for coming up with such a clever name!!

 I'm really excited it has an Aux port for our Zune's!!!

There are still plenty more things to do before we will be ready for the little guy... I've got my work cut out for me.
Briant has been preparing and reading up on MBA schools he wants to apply for.  I'm getting really excited for the future and what it holds for us!
