Our First!

Saturday, marked Briant and I's 1st Anniversary. Can you believe it has already been one year? I'm not going to lie... I love thinking about our Wedding Day because, it was the best day of my life!
I couldn't have married a better man than Briant. I love him so much! He is sweet, funny, ambitious, REALLY handsome, motivated, smart, and really good at helping around the house. He always knows how to make me feel special and loved.
I am so grateful we were able to be married in the temple and I'm so happy we get to be together for all eternity. We had a great Anniversary. The 1st is the paper Anniversary, so we appropriately had some scavenger hunts after we woke up. That was fun. Briant brought home some beautiful roses for me. Isn't he wonderful? They sort of look like some other Roses that I had one year ago.
A really good friend of mine, decided to get married on our Anniversary. For weeks now I've called her a copy cat, and was a little thrown that she wanted to get married on my day. She went through the temple for the very first time a few days ago, and she was so happy. To be honest I was going through some moments of deja vu, remembering the feelings I experienced almost exactly one year before and how happy I was to be getting married. It was there that I realized that it was only my day once. It was mine the day I got married, and now on my anniversary, it is a memory of that day. Now it's someone else's turn, in fact her turn, to have her day. I was so happy on my day, and I am so glad now I get to share some the that joy of "July 11" with someone else. It was a great day to get married, and we now have a day that is special and happy for the both of us and great memories that we can share together.
Going to Liz's wedding and other events of their day was a great reminder of the things we did too. She looked so beautiful, and I am so happy for her!

I'm sure the majority who were there, will remember this moment in time:
When we cut the cake:
Thank you Devin for the footage of this memory.
Unfortunately, it took too long to upload.

Thank you Kat for saving the top layer to our cake (and for sticking it in our freezer). It was wrapped up very well and preserved with good taste still in tack. We told you all that you would have to wait one year. As promised...
One year later:
Unfortunately, this video was too long to upload as well.
You convince blogger to let us upload more the 100MB and you can see it.
So, I don't think smashing the cake in each others face is all it's cracked up to be. As you can see, we tried it, and we aren't very good at it. I think we'll stick to our views with the traditional way of eating cake... and being nice about it.

Being married is great, we look forward to many more years together, and like I have said to the many who ask... "I would recommend it to everyone!"

Happy day for you and Briant. You looked beautiful that day and I am grateful that I was able to be there to witness it.
Did we go to school with Liz. She looks familiar?

Yeah, she was in 6-9 or 10th grade, then she moved to Bonneville I think.
